BUILDING FUND

The Redeeming Oil Ministries, Inc. has entered one of the most exciting times in our brief history: the acquisition of our first church building located in East Baltimore City. Redeeming Oil Ministries new national headquarters and worship edifice will be housed at 1613 Gorsuch Avenue. This new building, currently under renovation, is an 100 year old worship edifice that offers historical prominence in the Coldstream-Homestead community. As one of the original building of the community, this church stands as a testament to the longevity of God’s presence and need in the community. Just a few blocks from City College High School, the building offers a sanctuary with high ceilings, balcony, lower level classrooms, kitchen and potential office space.

The campaign to fund the renovation of the entire building of 1613-15 Gorsuch Avenue is an ambitious one. Our goal is to raise $350,000 to renovate the 1650 square foot floor and 3 parking spaces, build out the space, and outfit the office with furniture and equipment. The Redemption Center will house Redeeming Oil Ministries, Inc. as well as a host of services including community service programs, advocate for needs based resources and  handle the day-to-day administration of Redeeming Oil Ministries, Inc. and the Redemption Center’s Community Development Initiatives.

The Story: The Lord God Almighty instructed the Prophet Ezekiel: “Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign LORD.’” (Eze 12:28). Today, a prophecy has been fulfilled.

During a crusade a few years ago, a prophet spoke a prophecy into our lives. The Prophet said,

"People will randomly come to you and give you land and properties. So many that you will not be able to handle. I see you receiving buildings for $1.00...no more."

There were some who, over time, tried to convince us that this word was not real and this "prophecy" was simply a dream, but, when you have faith in God, you will know that what God says, God will do. About a year ago, I received a call from a benefactor who had purchased a building and was looking for a ministry to give it to. Someone had given him my name and, after the first meeting, he was convinced we were the ones to receive this property. I had never met the person before that day and we were not looking for any property, but, God had a plan. Six months later, we are the humble owners of the building above and the price was $1.00. God's word is being fulfilled. We thank God for the miracle.

The Bible tells us in 1 Samuel 10:7 that, "Once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you." We believe that God is truly with us and this ministry, therefore, we are preparing to renovate the building as soon as possible, but, we need help. The building itself is a blessing to us and the community. it is a chance for a community based ministry to help fill the needs of a community looking for such help. we are excited to be in the Coldstream-Homestead community and, from the great response, the community has been very welcoming of us. We believe it is a great, supernatural match, but, we are delayed by the condition of the building. Therefore, we are asking for your help in seeing this vision come to fruition. If you are in support of what god is doing here at Redeeming Oil, then we pray that you would help us reach the lost.

We have embarked upon a campaign to raise capital funds to renovate this edifice. We have plans to do this in stages because our first need is to open the doors so that the rest of the community can worship with us. We are unable to do so as of yet. Please help us reach the community and those who are begging for us to open the doors. Your seed planted will help us reach our goal. We believe that any seed planted into this vision will be planted into supernatural ground.

Will you be a part of this wondrous endeavor? Be a part of the miracle.

The Case: The Redemption Center will improve the quality of life in the immediate surrounding neighborhoods of the Coldstream-Homestead community by organizing and encouraging the community to volunteer their time, effort and resources to help others less fortunate than themselves. To do this well requires a strong support system of community, political, spiritual and business leaders that will develop cutting-edge programs and advocates for policies and legislation which respond to the community’s unique needs and challenges. The renovation of this building will provide the Redeeming Center Church and Ministries with enough space to strengthen its ability to deliver model programs throughout the community that will affect their future.

The Impact: By investing in a permanent edifice in the Coldstream-Homestead community, you will help ensure that God's voice will be heard and the unmet needs will be fulfilled. A permanent headquarters will also ensure that our community will have an eternal seat at the table where people can come and have their needs met. We seek to provide services and resources for the community to improve their situations and ensure their request are carried out. Finally, investment in this building fund will ensure that Redeeming Oil Ministries can continue its historic mission and embrace the future with the stability and resources it needs to succeed.

Your support of the Redemption Center Building Fund will help us achieve its mission of advancing the economic condition, educational attainment, housing, political influence, health and civil rights of the Christian population of the United States. With your support, the Redemption Center will continue to improve the quality of life throughout the city for decades to come. Help Redeeming Oil achieve its dream of empowering people to walk in purpose as we restore families and rebuild leaders. with a gift of cash, services, materials, or time.
