History of Redeeming Oil Ministries, Incorporated

Redeeming Oil Ministries is a prophetic ministry focused on the healing and restoration ofbroken lives. We are here to walk with the brokenhearted on their path to wholeness. Redeeming Oil Ministries started as a vision. The vision was designed toreach the masses through the prophetic, healing voice of poetry. It began on the campus of Oral Roberts University where Reverend Derrick Truesdale was completing his degree in Theology. Prophet heard God speak to him, "Write what I give you, and I will give you what you write." So he began to write. He wrote out the outline for Redeeming Oil, but yet was given the name. During a Wednesday Night Prayer service, Elder Derrick was preaching on the story of the Widow's oil. During this service, God spoke to him the name "Redeeming Oil" and the ministry began to take form.

Within a year, Elder Derrick and Elder Angelisa began teaching a community bible study in the Community Center of St. Frances Academy High School and patiently watched it grow into a dozen faithful followers. At the direction of the Holy Spirit, they began Sunday Morning Worship Services in the same building and have continued to follow the voice of God. The ministry moved swiftly as both Prophet and Pastor worked in all capacities. Over the next few months, they decided to extend their services to include a Saturday evening "healing" encounter, due, in part, by the number of visitors and members attending their Saturday rehearsals. They discovered that many of their membership worked on Sundays and were looking for another time to worship. It just made sense! By transitioning their Saturday Evening rehearsal time into a Healing and Deliverance service, they were able to reach more people. For a time, more people attended their reheaarsals than those who attended Sunday Morning Service. It was clear...those who are seeking His word were looking for times other than Sunday mornings to worship.

In the Spring of 2008, God instructed Prophet and Pastor that it was time to move. Within one month of this word, they leased their first building, located at 2133 Gwynn Oak Avenue. Miraculously, within one week of signing the lease on their new worship space, God blessed them with a church building they could call their own. In the Summer of 2006, Prophet & Pastor received a prophetic utterance that "people would give you buildings and properties; some will only cost $1.00" This new building, located at 1613-15 Gorsuch Avenue, was given to the ministry for the miraculous cost of $1.00. This is the first fulfillment of God's Word. Our new building is currently under renovations.

Elders Derrick & Angelisa Truesdale have been working together to further complete the vision given to them. Under the name of Redeeming Oil Ministries, their work has transformed from a community bible study into a full standing, bible teaching, and kingdom principled church, and yet, this ministry is in the process of transforming once again. With the reciept of a new building located in the East Side of Baltimore city, Redeeming Oil Ministries is now functioning as "The Redemption Center" Church & Ministries. This new formation has given Prophet & Pastor greater oppurtuinities to reach the people of God more effectively. The Redemption Center is not bound by Sunday Morning Church. We will open the doors to anyone at anytime that is seeking an oppurtunity to worship God and being transformed by His Word.

With the addition of the new building, Redeeming Oil Ministries has launched into a new dimension. It is through this miraculous healing, prophetic ministry that the word of God will reach those who fear the doors of church.
